I had the pleasure to work with Shereen and her team after a fire in my building. I took the opportunity to renovate the kitchen, bathroom and install flooring through my entire condo. I am absolutely blown away with the level of detail from Shereen and her team. They exceeded my expectations. I constantly get compliments on my condo and have since suggested their service to another owner in my building. Shereen was able to work with some of the items I had already picked and mixed it in with my designs and hers. Premier Home Center is a business I would continue to recommend. We’ve worked with Fred and his team at Premier Home Center three times now. Our first project with them was a complete gut renovation and reengineering of our master bathroom. Fred stayed within his projected budget, and his team truly delivered on our vision. We shared our inspiration and walked him through the space, and he immediately put us at ease as we moved through the project. After working with several contractors on our aging home, this was the first time I truly felt like we were partnering with someone who genuinely cared. Fred and his team maintained constant communication throughout the project. I still can’t believe our bathroom is real. When I look at it and think about what it used to be, I’m still in shock. After completing the bathroom, we decided to install another series of pocket doors for the bedrooms in our home, and once again, they delivered an excellent result. In the spring, Fred and his team will be completing a full overhaul of our two-story deck. We will continue coming back to Premier Home Center and highly recommend them to our friends and family. The attached pictures show a before (when we bought the house a few years back) and after Fred and his team were finished. First-class work; excellent; perfectionist in-house staff; instant communications; fair price, most small changes at no cost; no hassle; and really nice people: five stars * * * * * In 2023, we completed a major renovation of our kitchen (new cabinets, new appliances) and powder-room.  We also refreshed the entire rest of the first floor: painting, wallpapering, sanding/refinishing wood floors, replacing all the hinges and accessories on closets and doors.  I was dreading this project, having had no previous experience and having heard the nightmares of others.  Here are a few comments on the principals, Shereen, Beth, Fred & Co., and their work. First, they were extremely patient as we went through a meticulous planning process.  No pressure whatsoever during the process.  I wanted everything decided in advance and to avoid change orders – and we did.  Most of the changes we made during the renovation were minor and they just absorbed the costs; where they couldn’t, the additional charges were minimal and very fair. Second, their painters (Hector), wall-paper specialist (Korania), floor specialist (Nelson). carpenters (Jonathan, Ariel) and all the other staff were perfectionists.  They were without exception a pleasure to have around the house – extremely skilled, punctual, thorough, cleaned up every day, etc.  Like Beth and Shereen themselves, they don’t cut corners or let any detail go.  If something needs to be re-done to make it perfect, they do it with a truly cheerful attitude.  They found little things that needed to be corrected that we would never have noticed.  The company has now engaged their own in-house electrician, and he is in the same mold.  Having all this in-house staff means a level of responsiveness I wouldn’t think you would get from subcontractors. On a completely separate issue on the upper floor, we (and apparently the original owners) had been struggling with a structural defect for years, with several technicians unable to identify the problem.  So their secret weapon, Fred, came over.  Within two weeks, Fred had called in just the right expert: the problem was diagnosed and durably solved, and at a reasonable cost. Third, yes, things went wrong, not so much with the foregoing but with orders from suppliers and a sub-contractor.  Whatever the problem, it was unusual that I sent a text and didn’t get at least an acknowledgement, if not a solution, within five minutes – even at 8pm Friday night from Beth.  Every renovation is going to encounter problems and delays.  The real issue is how does your contractor handle it.  I would give Shereen and Beth a perfect score on this.  Just today, six months after completion of the job, a tiny issue emerged.  Beth had her electrician scheduled to come and fix it the same day. Costs:  Not the cheapest, not the most expensive.  We got three general estimates: one cheaper, one way more expensive.  Premier was in the middle.  These days, to have the in-house quality staff described above, they need to compensate accordingly.  I feel comfortable with our choice and the costs.  Reliability, quality of personnel, responsiveness, design skills…plus they are a pleasure to work with. We did not alter the footprint of our home, and, from the beginning, were pretty change-averse.  Beth and Shereen offered and suggested changes.  We accepted some (which turned out to be beautiful), passed on others.  It was a good and congenial process. Timing:  Yes, we were about a month beyond what we hoped in completion of the project.  One of the reasons: they insist on everything being done perfectly and some suppliers needed to re-do the materials ordered from them.  We spoke with many people who had these kinds of major renovations: not one didn’t have some delays like this.  Just build it into your expectations. The best recommendation I can give: we’re now planning to re-do the upstairs.  We’ve already begun discussions…with Shereen and Beth.

We used Premier Home Center for carpet replacement. After meeting Shereen and immediately seeing her design aesthetic, we contracted with Premier Home Center for some elements of our first floor renovation. What began as a smaller job for engineered hardwood flooring and quartz countertops grew over time to include electrical work, under cabinet lighting,  kitchen backsplash, kitchen sink/fixtures/plumbing, new baseboard trim, and wallpaper selection for our half bath. From project inception to completion we experienced amazing service and guidance at every turn. Shereen has an amazing eye for design and helped me select products, fixtures and even paint colors. I just finished another large project with Premier and am extremely happy with the final product.  I have been working with Beth for many years and have done a full remodel of our kitchen and now our three upstairs bathrooms, including the master suite. I am always amazed by her vision and this time Shereen helped too.  They are able to come up with a design that maximizes the use of the space.  To be honest the designs sometimes make me nervous because I can't envision it myself, but I have learned to trust their vision and the process.  Premier is a one-stop shop with design, materials and construction.  It is nice to have one point of contact for the entire project. They cost more than others but I've found that you get what you pay for and I also don't feel nickel and dimed through the process.  The best part is that they don't skimp on details and are steadfast at the end to make sure everything is perfect.  While a lot of contractors I've worked with take shortcuts at the end trying to wrap everything up, I have only experienced patience and focus from the team as we are wrapping up.  My only concern throughout the project is that it took a lot longer than expected and there were certain weeks where not much was done, but I believe they are investing further in their business and resources to manage their projects more efficiently.  In the end, I am extremely happy and am already thinking of the next project to bring them in for!
